The American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and ASA are collaborating on a pilot project that utilizes articles and questions from the Anesthesiology journal CME program to create an article-based question pilot for the ABA’s MOCA Minute assessment.
In December 2025, the journal published ASA guidance: “2026 American Society of Anesthesiologists Practice Guideline on Perioperative Pain Management Using Local and Regional Analgesia for Cardiothoracic Surgeries, Mastectomy, and Abdominal Surgeries.”
