ASA proactively earned media coverage on a range of topics in 2025 including: 

• The latest research presented during ANESTHESIOLOGY^® 2025;  

• An Anesthesiology study that found no negative toxic effects after anesthesia in young children;  

• ASA’s guidance on anesthesia for tattoos;  

• ASA’s guidance on the use of ketamine for mental health;  

• ASA’s statement on head injuries in the OR;
