ASA House of Delegates Session

Date: Tues., Oct. 20, 2026
Location: San Diego Convention Center, 111 Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA

The single session will start at 8 a.m.; it is difficult to say when the session will end, as it depends on the business conducted. Past House sessions have ended around 11:30 a.m. Further information will be shared via listserv and posted at the House of Delegates and reference committees page of the ANESTHESIOLOGY^® annual meeting website.

Reference Committees

Date: Sun., Oct. 18, 2026
Location: Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina (ASA Governance Hotel)

Reference committee testimony hearings will be held at staggered start times shown below. Each hearing is required to remain open until testimony concludes or one hour, whichever is later. The hearings are to conclude by 11 a.m.

8:00 a.m.: Professional Affairs testimony hearings (Marine Ballroom F)
8:15 a.m.: Administrative Affairs testimony hearings (Marine Ballroom G)
8:30 a.m.: Scientific Affairs testimony hearings (Marine Ballroom E)
8:45 a.m.: Finance testimony hearings (Marine Ballroom D)

Reference committee reports will be posted on Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, and the House listserv will be informed when this is completed.

October Board Meeting

Dates: Tues., Oct. 20, 2026 (starts a few minutes after the single session of the House ends and goes until business concludes)
Location: San Diego Convention Center, 111 Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA

If you are also an ASA Board member, there is a shorter meeting on Tuesday immediately following the single session of the House to kick off the new governance year and review and approve some reports. The board meeting will likely finish by noon.
