Supporting the ASA strategy to strengthen the visibility and voice of the specialty as a leader in the health care ecosystem, in 2025, we developed new programs:
A pilot with American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL) and the 2026 Military Certificate Program. Both programs are designed to assist mid-career anesthesiologists or those ready to transition to leadership positions.
ASA | AAPL Physician Executive Leadership Development Program launched a yearlong immersive experience which will end with a capstone at ASA® ADVANCE: The Anesthesiology Business Event 2027. Sign up for the next cohort.
The Military Certificate Program, coming in 2026, is designed to assist military anesthesiologists in building skills developing a culture of patient safety and quality improvement to prepare them for leadership roles in the private sector or VA setting.
