ACE (Anesthesiology Continuing Education) has been a leading source of continuing medical education for anesthesiologists for more than 20 years, originally created to cover the established “walking around knowledge” essential to everyday anesthesia practice.
ACE is offered as both a print booklet and an electronic format, including access through a web-based learning management system and mobile app. Each annual subscription consists of two issues, published in April and October, and each issue contains 100 multiple-choice self-study items with in-depth discussions. Every issue is eligible for up to 30 CME credits, awarded at one credit per hour of engagement.

To claim credit, learners must answer all of the questions and receive a score of at least80% correct. Learners must also complete the course evaluation before claiming credit. Each annual subscription offers up to 60 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Learners should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Yes. ACE meets the CME requirement for the ABA’s MOCA program. It also offers content that contributes to the patient safety component of this requirement. This varies by issue and will be published closer to the launch of each issue.
