Max Feinstein, MD, is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Feinstein is passionate about utilizing digital media platforms to share educational material about anesthesiology with patients and clinicians alike. He also played drums in a band of anesthesiologists, although after a recent move, he’s now looking to join a new band.
Dr. Feinstein received his medical degree and master’s degree in bioethics from Case Western Reserve University. He completed anesthesiology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, then pediatric anesthesiology and pediatric cardiac anesthesiology fellowships at Columbia University/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. He created videos throughout his training, highlighting the subspecialties of anesthesiology and many different aspects of the field. His videos can be found on YouTube by searching his name.
Zain Hasan, DO, is a board-certified anesthesiologist, health-tech investor, and digital health strategist based in Los Angeles. Dr. Hasan is passionate about opioid-sparing anesthesia, fighting medical misinformation, and building the bridge between frontline medicine and health-tech innovation. His 1.5M+ followers know him simply as @DrZainHasan.
Dr. Hasan trained at University of Buffalo. He went on to practice at Hennepin county Medical Center, served on faculty at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and most recently held an attending post at UPMC. He holds a DO from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and a BS from the University of Maryland. Beyond the OR, Dr. Hasan advises Series B health-tech startups, has partnered with brands including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Figs, and EKO Health, and has been featured across syndicated podcasts and international radio.
Brooke E. Trainer, MD, FASA, remains devoted to her fellow Veterans and maintains her full-time status as an anesthesiologist, acute pain physician, and critical care medicine Intensivist at the Central Virginia VA Health Care System in Richmond VA. She is also an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Virginia Commonwealth University where she works as a critical care intensivist in the liver transplant and surgical trauma burn ICU. Most recently, Dr. Trainer was recognized for her contributions and interest in simulation education and was granted a national faculty position with the VHA Simulation Learning Education and Research Network (SimLEARN) Division.
Dr. Trainer received her doctor of medicine from the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Miami, FL, completed her anesthesia residency at Yale New Haven Medical Center in Connecticut, and fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a US Air Force veteran, having served as an anesthesiologist at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and director for the Critical Care Air Transport Teams (CCATT). She deployed in 2012, '13, and '14 to Afghanistan from Germany, flying wounded soldiers safely out of Afghanistan back to Germany, then home to the US. In 2012, she was recognized as the top-level physician of the European Medical Command and was awarded the US Air Force European Clinical Excellence Award. Dr. Trainer also holds several leadership positions in organized medicine, including her current role as the president for the Association of VA Anesthesiologists, and has published numerous book chapters in internationally recognized Anesthesia Textbooks.
